Install

1. Uninstall any existing PulseKit first — older builds are signed with a different key, so installing over them fails silently.
2. Download the APK on your Android phone and open it — allow "install from unknown sources" if prompted.
3. Open the app once: the main screen must say Build v0.5.0. If it shows an older version, the install did not replace the previous build.

Connect it to the pulse

The app ships with no numbers in it — every cell reads — until the real pulse arrives. Paste the pulse topic (sent to you separately, not published here) into the Pulse topic field on the main screen and tap Connect. A full https://ntfy.sh/… URL works too; the app keeps just the topic.

From then on the phone checks for a new pulse every 15 minutes on its own, and Refresh pulls one immediately. The status line under the buttons reports what happened, including the job server's own clock so you can tell fresh numbers from stale ones.

The topic name is the only credential on the phone — no API key is embedded in this APK. Treat the topic like a password: anyone holding it can read the pulse.

The metrics

The same four numbers the XHP job server pushes to ActivitySmith every five minutes, published a second time for Android. Days close on America/Mexico_City, and parking and assignments never double count.

Home screen

1. Tap Add widget to home screen. Samsung shows a confirmation sheet — accept it, and the widget lands on your home screen.
2. Tap the new widget and pick a metric. One cell shows one metric, so add a cell per number you want.

Lock screen

Android removed third-party lock-screen widgets in 5.0 and One UI never brought them back, so no widget can be placed there. The surface that does draw on the lock screen is an ongoing notification, which is what Android 16 promotes to a Live Update — so PulseKit puts all four metrics there as a single card.

1. Tap Show metrics on lock screen in the app.
2. Allow notifications if you have not already.
3. If the numbers are hidden behind "sensitive content", set Settings → Notifications → Lock screen to show content. The card is posted as public, so nothing else is needed.

The card repaints on every pulse, so it never disagrees with the home-screen cells.
